About

Formed in Iowa in the mid-1990s, Slipknot established its own place in heavy music through masks, layered percussion, dense guitar arrangements and intense live performances. Vocalist Corey Taylor and percussionist M. Shawn Crahan, known as Clown, are central figures in its history. Slipknot (1999), Iowa (2001) and Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) (2004) shaped its early sound; We Are Not Your Kind (2019) and The End, So Far (2022) show later developments. The band also released the single Arsenal in September 2026. Because its lineup has changed across eras, refer to official announcements for current members and tour dates.
